Convex Mirrors

Convex mirrors have a long tradition. One of the earliest recorded and most famous convex mirrors is in a picture by Van Eyck of the Marriage of Arnolfino dated 1434. However the convex mirrors that we make are of the late 18th century and have a deep cavetto moulding ornamented with spherical balls and ebonised reeded inner slip. There is an option of two standard diameters,25" and 36", and a further option of an imposing Eagle crest. If you would like a pair of these Eagle mirrors they can be made with the eagles facing in (ie the eagles facing in different directions). Convex mirrors are sometimes also known as 'butlers' or 'fish eye' mirrors.
